Individual Therapy
“In any given moment, we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.”
– Abraham Maslow
Why Individual Therapy?
Individual Therapy is used to improve overall well-being and resolve personal struggles from the individual perspective. Some clients seek out individual therapy as it provides individual attention and privacy for your concerns. Together we can figure out what might be getting in the way of having the life that you desire but are struggling to achieve.
Areas of specialty for individual therapy:
- Learning how to reduce and cope with stress
- Learning anger management skills
- Learning how to cope/set boundaries with members with addiction issues
- Finding relief from depression, anxiety, and past hurts
- Family Issues
- Cultivating positive self-worth and self-acceptance
- Managing life transitions, such as going to college, relocating, changing jobs, getting married, deciding to have children, and separation/divorce
- Insomnia/Sleep Issues
- Abuse
- Setting boundaries with a romantic partner or feeling codependent
- Gay/Lesbian/Bi-sexual/Transgender Issues
- Career and Professional Development
We often feel unhappy with our current situation or unsure about how to get to the next step in our lives. I strive to meet you where you are at in each and every session, while helping you to find direction and move forward. My practice involves encouraging and challenging clients to identify and build upon their strengths to create positive changes in their lives.
